RESEARCH

Having partnered with individuals utilizing shared laundry facilities, I embarked on a mission to streamline and enhance the system. Drawing insights from their experiences, I've crafted features to simplify and minimize the inconvenience of laundry. User-centric design hinges on understanding the target audience. Initial research delves into their needs, interests, and behaviors, all aimed at ensuring a seamless experience. In this app's case, the primary users are city dwellers staying in blocks with communal washroom.

PRODUCT DIRECTION

Considering the data collected and user scenarios including stress, relaxation, and urgency to getting the wash over with — I crafted the design. Focusing on essential pages such as booking and coin purchases while continuing to test ideas for user interaction. The increasing diversity in screen sizes and pixel densities complicates asset generation for designers. Using even numbers like 8 for sizing ensures easy and consistent scaling across devices, with the majority of popular screen sizes being divisible by eight.

RELAX YOUR EYES

When it comes to user experience, dark mode is the "cool kid" on the block. Sure, it's been around for years, but it's now a feature on most apps. Dark mode enhances visibility and guides the user seamlessly to the next step. This feature is a breathing space for the eyes, a moment of rest.
